Apple Mac OS X (10.9) Mavericks GM available for download

Apple first announced Apple OS X Mavericks alongside iOS 7 back in June. After years of using cat names on their desktop operating system builds Apple opted for an iconic surf spot off the coast of California for their OS X 10.9 update. Mavericks’ new features include a new Calendar app plus the inclusion of iBooks and Maps, as well as an “quick reply” option for message notifications.

Since June, there have been eight different pre-release beta versions and has finally been released as a Golden Master (GM). GM, just in case you're unaware, is the very last pre-release build of an operating system before the public release, and typically is exactly the same as the version Apple will release to the general masses.
If you are a registered member of Apple's Mac Developer Program the update will be available to you through the Mac App Store or go direct to the Mac Developer Center to get the direct link. Along with the updated version of OS X Mavericks, Apple has also released Xcode 5.0.1 GM, OS X Server Preview 9 and Apple Remote Desktop 3.7.

With the GM version now available, it will only be a matter of time before Apple releases the final build to the public. With AppleCare employees said to be training up on all the ins and outs of OS X Mavericks now, we may get to see the Apple desktop OS update as early as next week.
