The somewhat controversial Apple iPhone 5c is now available for pre-order through the Apple Store and the carriers. The iPhone 5c has been priced at $99 for its 16GB and $199 for its 32GB variants if you choose to purchase it through Apple's website. You can select either AT&T, Sprint or Verizon, with whom you will have to sign a two-year commitment for your new iPhone.The iPhone 5c can be purchased in White, Pink, Blue, Yellow and Green through the carrier of your choice.
T-Mobile who has undertaken the Un-Carrier initiative does not require you to sign a two-year pact. You can get the 16GB model for free and the 32GB model for $99 when you select T-Mobile as your carrier. However keep in mind that the cost of the device won't be subsidized. You will have to pay the balance at $22 per month for 24 months.
Its also important to check various carrier and retailer offers before committing to purchase the iPhone from Apple.
We found that Sprint like T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 5c for FREE with 16GB and at $99 for the 32GB model. These devices are offered at subsidized prices which requires a two-year service commitment with Sprint.
Verizon and AT&T prices match those offered by Apple, While Verizon allows users to purchase the iPhone 5c over the carrier's EDGE program.
Best Buy pricing is similar to what is offered by Apple, allowing you to select between AT&T, Verizon and Sprint as the carriers of your choice.
Walmart is offering the iPhone 5c with 16GB at $79 when you sign a commitment with the carrier of your choice. You can learn more about Walmart's offer here.
All iPhone 5c pre-orders will be delivered by September 20th according to the various carriers and retailers
