Android Jelly Bean leaks for the Motorola Droid RAZR M

Back when Motorola unveiled the new Motorola DROID RAZR M, Motorola DROID RAZR HD, Motorola DROID RARZ MAXX HD, they promised that all three devices would be quick to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update before the end of the year.

The DROID RAZR M was the first of these devices to be released last month with the DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD expected on October 18th. Even though the device has been in the market only for a few weeks, a Jelly bean ROM has already leaked for the device, suggesting that Motorola is keeping to their schedule to bring the update on time.

The leaked ROM carriers version 98.11.35  XT907 and is 255MB in size. This may not be the last version of the software which Verizon will offer for the device, but it should give a clear indication of what you can expect from the device.

Keep in mind that there is no stock ICS ROM  nor has the DROID RAZR M been rooted, so you will not be able to revert back to your original version of Android if you install this leaked ROM.
[NOTE] We do not recommend installing custom or pre-release ROMs unless as it may result in loss of data or device malfunction if not installed properly. Please note that you will be proceeding at your own risk.
  1. Download the leaked Android Jelly Bean ROM for the Motorola Droid RAZR M
  2. Copy the downloaded file to the external SD card (not device storage).
  3. Switch off your device.
  4. Restart your device while holding the volume keys and power key at the same time to boot into Recovery Mode.
  5. Once you have entered recovery use the Volume Down key to highlight Recovery and select it using the Volume Up key.
  6. On the next screen press both volume keys.
  7. Select Apply Update from External Storage, and select the file you previously downloaded.
  8. Wait for the update process to begin.
  9. Once completed restart your device and you are ready to go.
The following video shows off some of the improvements which are included in the Jelly Bean update for Droid RAZR M. Some of the new features include an updated lockscreen, a new notifications bar and Google Now.
