Samsung Galaxy S III outsells the iPhone last quarter

A recent report suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S III has managed to make the impact it wanted to, at least in the U.S. Following an elaborate launch the handset has managed to beat the iPhone last quarter to become the best selling phone in the U.S.

The Galaxy S III is available in the U.S. through its four major carriers and the device has taken the spot of top seller on both Verizon and Sprint.

Apple has just officially announced that they will be unveiling the iPhone 5 on September 12 and Windows Phone 8 is also expecting to make an impact before the end of this year.

However we are certain that the folks at Samsung headquarters will be happy with this news given the recent result of the patent disputes.
