[Guide] How to root your Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi / 3G) using a One Click method



The Motorola Xoom was the first Android Honeycomb tablet to reach the masses and as a Google device is generally first in line for the latest versions of Android.

So with the latest version of Android you may find yourself constantly looking to root your device. The following guide will show you how to root your Motorola Xoom ( / ) models using a One Click method.

[NOTE] The following process will erase all content on your device, Please make sure you make a backup of your information before you proceed.

[NOTE] The method currently works only with the US variants of the Motorola Xoom. If you are using an EU model or are uncertain of the model you are using please do not proceed.

  1. Download the One Click Rooting tool.
  2. Extract the compressed file to a location on your computer.
  3. Plug in your device to your computer using a USB cable.
  4. Right click on the Xoom One Click .exe file and select Run as Administrator. [You can use Shift and Right Click or simply double click to open on older versions of Windows].
  5. Click Root and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the process.
That’s it. Your Motorola Xoom should now be fully rooted and allow you to install/load custom ROMs
