[Guide] How to hack your Nokia Symbian Belle FP1 device

Nokia has released the Symbian Belle FP1 update for the Nokia 701, Nokia 700 and the Nokia 603. The following guide will show you how you can easily hack your Symbian Belle FP1 device and get access to all the features you can enjoy from hacking your device.

[UPDATE] Nokia has now released the Symbian Belle FP2 software update for the Nokia 701, Nokia 700, Nokia 603 and the Nokia 808 PureView. If you own an updated device you can read our guide on how to hack your Symbian Bell FP2 device.

[NOTE] We do not recommend hacking your Symbian handset unless you are fully aware of the consequences and risks.

[DISCLAIMER] Improper use of this guide can result in loss of data or device malfunction which DJ’s Mobiles will not be responsible for. Please proceed at your own risk.
  1. Download Norton-security and install it on your device. Ignore any warning messages which may occur and continue with the installation.
    -
  2. Launch the Norton AV app from your Menu and go to Option > Antivirus > Quarantine list
    -
  3. There will be three files in your Quarantine. Restore all these files one by one using Options > Restore
    -
  4. Once restoration in complete exit the Norton app and uninstall it.
    -
  5. Go to File Manager and see if there is a folder named ‘Shared’ in C:/ (Phone Memory)
    • If the folder is present delete the entire folder.
    • Also make sure you uninstall any apps with the name Norton or Symantec using the Application Manager (Settings > Installation > Already Installed)
    • Once completed Restart your device.
      -
  6. Download the Symbian_installserver_Hack_by_digipassion.com.sisx and install it to your phone memory (C:/)
    • You can ignore any ‘Application not trusted’ or ‘Not compatible with phone’ messages which may appear.
      -
  7. Launch the newly installed ROM Patcher+ from your menu
    • Select and apply the installserver RP+ v1.7 patch through options (this will enable you to install unsigned apps without certificate errors)
This method could probably be used to hack older Symbian (Belle / Belle Refresh) devices. However we would recommend you check out our guide on how to hack Nokia Symbian Belle and Belle Refresh devices which should work well for pre-Belle FP1 phones.
