The app store was launched back in June 2008, and to date has grown to become the most popular app distribution store. The winner of the prize will be able to spend their winnings in Apple's app stores, the iBook Store or the iTunes store.
Apple has still to announce the lucky winner, but meanwhile we wanted to congratulate who ever it was.
