Cotton Candy from FXI Technologies brings Android on a USB device

Norwegian based FXI Technologies has developed an Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered USB device which can bring Android OS to any smartphone, tablet, laptop, TV or gaming console.

The device which is code-named 'Cotton Candy' aims to bring the power of Android to literally any screen size, which is probably the biggest limitation of modern Android devices.

The name Cotton candy probably attributes to it's weight of just 21 grams. But don't let this light weight fool you. It's 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU and Quad-Core ARM Mail 400 MP GPU pack quite a punch running your everyday tasks.

But that's not all. Cotton Candy also features, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI connectivity and microSD storage so you can view your output on a range of HD devices. You can access content through a secure FXI web portal, and can be controlled through smartphones, keyboards, mice and other USB peripherals.

FXI has still not revealed the pricing of the device, but we expect it to be blow the $200 range. It is expected for a release in the latter half of 2012.
