The Microsoft Surface 2 which runs Windows RT 8.1 comes in a 32GB model which costs $449, which its 64GB variant costs $559. Like its predecessor, the Surface 2 will be restricted to running apps available through the Windows Store and wont run regular Windows desktop apps.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 on the other hand is a full Windows 8.1 Pro device which will run any app which runs on your PC or laptop. Its base model with 64GB of SSD storage and 4GB of RAM costs $899, while 128GB of storage will cost you an additional $100. There are more purchase options for the Surface Pro 2 but its top end model which has 512GB SSD and 8GB of RAM isn't available at this time.
