Amazon Appstore starts making International debut

Amazon's AppStore serves as an alternate to Google's Android Marketplace. It offers a wide array of Android apps along with some Amazon flavored applications as well. The AppStore which was previously only available in the U.S. is now being rolled out internationally

While Amazon is still to make an official announcement in this regard, users around the world have reported that both free and paid applications are working in countries like UK, Australia, India and Holland.

This international release should be Amazon testing to see if their servers can handle the traffic as they get ready to unveil their own tablet lineup, which is due to enter the market at a lower price range than the existing offerings.

Are you from one of the countries that have gotten access to the Amazon AppStore ? Leave a comment below.
