Nokia has made a decision to re brand it's Ovi services to Nokia services. This process will take place over the next course of months up until 2012. Each of the services branded Ovi will be re-branded as Nokia without any disruption to any service road maps.
Users who purchase Nokia devices later this year will start seeing the Nokia brand on your devices. Current users will start noticing re branding in future software updates.Nokia's EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Jerri DeVard explains that this decision was made hoping to centralize the services under a brand name that is trusted and known by all.
I think this decision has come as part of the Microsoft Nokia deal, which will see many services on Nokia devices under Microsoft's own branding.
