LG G2 vs LG G Pro 2 - OIS video capture comparison

With the LG G2, the company included OIS technology on their camera, similar to what was already available on smartphones like the Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC One. The 2-axis OIS module found on the G2 contributes to improved photo and video capture, by avoiding blurry results from trembling hands.

The LG G Pro 2 brings a 5.9 inch display in its phablet form factor, joining the other manufactures in providing large screen devices to match the growing demand from consumers. The rest of its specs are also as impressive, and the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM will ensure a stellar performance.

The LG G Pro 2 is supposed to have an even better camera than the LG G2 (which was a great one its own right),  despite having the same 13 megapixel resolution. Since this is one of the main features of the new smartphone, LG decided to show off it’s low light capabilities, by photographing the Northern Lights (aurora borealis).

The LG G Pro 2 was officially announced today, in Korea as expected during a special event. The device though larger, uses features a design similar to the LG G2, with thin bezels, and hardware keys on its rear.

LG G Pro 2 will feature a 13MP rear camera with OIS Plus and 4K video recording

Back in January, LG announced their G Pro 2, which is set to be released sometime this month. Today the company revealed more details about the upcoming device via one of its official Korean blogs.

It seems the LG G Pro 2 will feature a 13MP rear camera with enhanced Optical Image Stabilization technology that LG is calling OIS Plus. This should result in shake-free, ultra-clear photos even in dark environments. The rear camera will also be capable of recording 4K / Ultra HD video (3840 x 2160 pixels). On the front, the new G Pro will have a 2.1MP camera which promises "improved performance."
