Asus Transformer AiO receives Android 4.2.1 software update

The Asus Transformer AiO is a unique device, with a Windows computer combined with an Android tablet. The device features a detachable 18.4 inch touch display with a 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution which is shared with both the PC and the tablet.

Now the Android component is set to receive the Android 4.2.1 update which will bring one of the best features of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean - multi-user support.

ASUS MeMO Pad Smart 10 receives Android 4.2 software update

The ASUS MeMO Pad Smart 10 was introduced a couple of months ago with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it looks like the U.S. variant is already receiving the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software update. The update is being offered (OTA) over-the-air and is 510.93MB in size.

 You can be downloaded from the Asus website and you will be running Android 4.2.1 with software version 10.6.1.15 once you complete.

Google Nexus 4 factory image available on the Google developer site again


Nexus devices like the Google Nexus 4 have several advantages. One of these perks of owning these devices is that you will be among the first in line to receive the latest software updates. Additionally Google provides factory images for the Nexus users so that they can easily return their phones or tablets back to an out of box, factory state if the need arises.

Strangely the Nexus 4 factory images disappeared shortly after being released, but they have now reappeared on the Google Developer website.

Google Galaxy Nexus for Sprint will receive Android 4.2.1 software update very soon

As you may know the unlocked Google Galaxy Nexus has has the newest version of Android for some time now. Now it looks like the Google Galaxy Nexus for Sprint is ready to receive the Android 4.2.1 update.

There still hasn't been an official announcement, but leaked information suggests that the update for the Sprint variant has appeared on Google’s servers and it is available for download and installation. Unfortunately there is no word on when Sprint will make the update available (OTA) over-the-air.

[Guide] How to manually install Android 4.2.1 on Google Galaxy Nexus (takju)

The Google Galaxy Nexus which was sold through the Google Play Store is known as the ‘takju’ version. If you own one of these devices you can manually update it to the latest version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is version 4.2.1. You can optionally wait for the update to be made available for your device and opt for the automatic update, but we are certain there are some of you who may prefer the manual method.

Google releases Android 4.2.1 for Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10


If you recently purchased a new Nexus device, you will be happy to know that Google has released a software update for the Google Nexus 4, Google Nexus 7 and Google Nexus 10. Your device will be updated to Android 4.2.1 with this 1.1MB update which is currently rolling out to supported devices. The purpose of this update is to fix the December bug on the Contacts app.
