Cortana Voice Assistant for Windows Phone 8.1 shown in video

As you may know, Microsoft is building their own voice assistant for Windows Phone to compete with Siri and Google Now, codenamed "Cortana". A new leaked video shows what appears to be Cortana on Windows Phone 8.1 in action.

The video below shows the avatar (Blue circle with lips) helping user in planning a route via public transport, and also automatically set a reminder.

Cortana takes its codename from Cortana, an artificially intelligent character in Microsoft’s Halo series who can learn and adapt. The rumored voice assistant will let Windows Phone users interact with  their phones more naturally using voice commands. The software will likely ship with Windows Phone 8.1 update that’s also set to include a notification center and several UI changes.

It is important to remember that this report is based on rumored information and should not be taken seriously until the information is more concrete.
