Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet coming to Verizon in October

A new report suggests that the Nokia Lumia 2520 is coming to Verizon in October. Our first impressions were that the Lumia 2520 would be Verizon's version of the Nokia Lumia 1520, which is headed to AT&T. However it is reported that the Nokia Lumia 2520 is in fact the Nokia Sirius Windows RT tablet.

The tablet is expected to be available in Red and Black with a a variant also making its way to AT&T. The slate is expected to introduced on September 26th, but the date may have been delayed due to Nokia's recent acquisition by Microsoft.

The latest rumors conform the 10.1 inch 1080p HD display which will feature 5 point multi-touch and wide viewing angles. The tablet will have 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 6.7 megapixel camera on the rear with ZEISS optics, a 2 megapixel front facing camera, micro HDMI slot, a USB 3.0 port, 4G LTE connectivity and a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 will dock with an optional protective cover that doubles as a QWERTY keyboard. The accessory will also work as a stand for the tablet and will be embedded with a battery to help extend the battery life of the slate. A setup similar to an early concept of the tablet. Nokia is expected to price the tablet at $499, similarly to the iPad, which is a little disappointing as it will run Windows RT (8.1) instead of the full version of Windows.
