[iOS app] WhatsApp moves to yearly subscription model

WhatsApp Messenger for iOS has been available on the Apple App Store for 99 cents until now. Once the app is purchased iOS users have been able to get unlimited use of the service.Meanwhile WhatsApp Messenger for Android which is available as a free download requires users to pay 99 cents per year, after one year of free service. However it looks like this is about to change.

WhatsApp for iOS has now moved to a subscription based model, with the app being offered for free. Downloading the app will offer one year of free service, following which users will have to pay the $0.99 per year annual subscription

You can download the latest version of WhatsApp from iOS and be a part of the 250 million users who enjoy messaging with WhatsApp.
