Nokia Lumia 925 beats Lumia 920 in low light tests

The Nokia Lumia 925 offers a great low light camera and it has proven itself against the likes of the iPhone5, Galaxy S4 and Xperia Z. It has even taken on the UltraPixel camera of the HTC One. Now it aims to take on its own sibling - the Nokia Lumia 920, and you can see how far Nokia has progressed.

The images on the left are captured by the Lumia 925 camera, while those on the right are from the Lumia 920. The Lumia 925 camera photos seem more lifelike compared to the Lumia 920 photos. The Lumia 925 photos also seem to have better color representation and contrast compared to the Lumia 925.

This could be attributed to the updated camera software on the Lumia 925. However Lumia 920 users have nothing to worry about, as Nokia has promised to offer the same camera update to those devices. This Lumia Amber update is expected to start rolling out in the Q3 of 2013 and will include the Nokia Smart Camera application with its many features and effects, support for ISO 3200 and faster burst shots. The update is also expected to enable the FM radio on the handset.

If you live in the U.S. the Lumia 925 will be available exclusively through T-Mobile, while the Lumia 920 is an exclusive to AT&T. A third option of the Nokia WIndows Phone flagship is available exclusively through Verizon as the Nokia Lumia 928.
