The HTC One was announced today during a special event and promises to be a game changer in the smartphone world. The change doesn't come in the form of an updated spec but rather in an innovative camera. Despite having only a 4 megapixel sensor in a playing field dominated by 8 megapixels, HTC uses a technology called Ultrapixels which offers superior image quality especially in low light situations.The camera also features high dynamic range (HDR) photos and video, which should allow both the dark and the light areas within an image to be exposed and reproduced more accurately.
The first HDR video sample captured with the HTC One camera has been posted online, giving users a chance to sample how well the new camera performs.
The HTC One is definitely much more than just a camera phone.
