Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S receives Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich

The is now receiving the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update.

Note that the update may not be available on your device immediately as it is released at different times depending on the operator and country.



This is the second ICS update for the Xperia Arc S which follows the Android 4.0.3 update which was released back in April.

In order to update to ICS you will have to connect your phone to your computer using the Sony PC Companion software for PC | MAC

The Android ICS update for the Xperia Arc S is expected to offer the following new features and improvements
  • Quick dial allows you to quickly find the number you are looking for
  • Recent Apps button for clear overview of your applications
  • Quick responses for incoming calls
  • Optimized email application for multiple accounts
  • Improved control of your mobile data consumption
