The Google Maps application for Android has been updated (5.12.0). It offers a new feature called Live Events. which allows you to see the live events which in the Places page for New York, San Francisco, Paris, Zurich and London.You can download the latest version of Google Maps directly on your device from the Android Market or by using the link which follows.

Google has also removed the option to 'Post to Twitter' in this update. This is probably because Google wants to push their own social network features through their services.
