Since Apple used 3G in their device name it is easy to understand why so many would be confused and automatically assume that the 4 would stand for 4G. The '4' actually simply means that this is the 4th iPhone model.
The folks at Retrevo have carried out some surveys and posted a few info-graphics online which states that 34% of iPhone users mistakenly think they own a 4G capable device. It seams like the mistake is also made by Android and BlackBerry users. Are you one of them ? Check the info graphics below and find out.
If you are wondering when Apple will release their first 4G device, you may be in for a wait. Apple looks to be focussing on the user experience at this point. While rumors are floating about of a possible 4G device from Apple later this year, it may be practical to assume that we will only see a 4G/LTE capable iPhone 6.
