Nokia N9 receives PR 1.2 software update

Nokia has released the official firmware update for the Nokia N9 about a month after it was seeded to developers for testing. The update is 248 MB in size and is reported to take up to 40 minutes to install according to Nokia.

The front facing camera on the Nokia N9 is now usable with Meego 1.2 and you can now organize your apps into folders in the app launcher. The update also brings improvements to the camera and gallery app along with the copy/paste functionality.

Nokia N950 receives Meego PR1.2 Beta

For those who don't know it, the Nokia N950 is the true successor to the Nokia N900 and the QWERTY toting sibling of the Nokia N9. The device features a 4 inch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, 12 megapixel camera and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM.

Nokia Developers have just posted that the latest Meego Harmattan PR1.2 (3.2012.02-6_PR_RM680) Beta update has been released for the device along with it's change-log.

Back in November a report revealed some screenshots of the upcoming update (PR 1.2) for the Nokia N9 were leaked and now a user from TMO has revealed more screenshots of the upcoming update.

Nokia released the PR 1.1 update for the Meego running Nokia N9 in early November and reports pointed towards them already working on a PR 1.2 update which promised improvements in the camera along with system wide copy/paste functionality.
