SkyDrive for Windows

Microsoft has been working hard on getting SkyDrive ready for Windows 8, and they have released the SkyDrive app for the Windows platform in preparation of the release.

You can download the preview release for Microsoft SkyDrive for Windows using the link which follows

Any user who signs up for SkyDrive in future will be limited to 7GB of storage opposed to the 25GB which used to be available.


The SkyDrive app for Windows allows you to access the files stored on the cloud through the Windows Explorer on your Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista computers. Similar to the experience you would get from Dropbox.

The SkyDrive app is also available for Mac OS, Windows Phone and iPad/iPhone
