[Guide] How to identify the PIN of a BlackBerry PlayBook

You may be required to provide the PIN of your BlackBerry PlayBook at some point. There is more than one way to get the PIN and this guide tells you how you can get that done.

Method 01 - You can get the PIN during setting up your BlackBerry PlayBook for the first time or after performing a wipe of your data on the Setup Wizard. You can get the PlayBook PIN number in the Setup Wizard app, complete the following steps:

1. IN the Wi-Fi network screen, select the Gear icon (highlighted in red) which appears at the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. The PIN will be displayed as pictured under Diagnostic in the 500xxxxx format.

Method 02 - You can also get the PIN under PlayBook tablet settings

1. Select the Gear icon on the home screen.
2. Select 'About'.
3. Toggle 'View Information about your tablet' to 'Hardware'.

Method 03 - You can also access the PIN number using the BlackBerry Desktop Software for PC or Mac. The PIN number is displayed when you connect your PlayBook to your computer and open the Desktop Software. This may turn out to be the easiest way to get the PIN number on most occasions.
