Is there an Apple iPad 3 already in the works ?

The Apple iPad 2 is expected to go on sale somewhere around April, to keep to keep in line with Apple's yearly release cycle.

John Gruber reports on Daring Fireball on a possible fall release of the iPad 3, merely months after the expected release of the iPad 2.

While I don't think this is likely, you can never tell what Apple has planned. With speculation of a $200 iPhone 4 recently circulating, Apple may be looking for means to compete with arch rivals Google, who have several tablet devices lined up for the year.
